Intellectual property and trademark attorney Jorge Espinosa was featured in the ‘Profiles in Law’ section of the Daily Business Review, which tells the story of successful attorneys and what led them into the law. Born in Cuba, Espinosa immigrated to the US with his grandparents. He lived in Chicago, Boston and Pittsburgh before ending up in Miami, where he went to college. His grandparents pushed him to become a professional and after a few years as a full-time software writer, he took the LSAT and got into law school at the University of Miami. His knowledge of software led him to handle software copyrights. That expanded to litigation work in trademarks, copyright, design patents and general patent cases. After becoming a partner at another IP law firm in Miami, he and Will Trueba, Jr. started their own practice in 2008.
